Harness the energy of the sun to make your favorite tea in bulk! No need to heat tons of water, and spike your energy bill, just take advantage of the power we have all been gifted! Make a big batch of tea for your next picnic, bbq, or just to have around the house!
- 3 bags of tea
- 16oz glass jar
- 16 oz of cool filtered water
- 1 peach, sliced
- 6 sprigs of mint
- 2 tbs of dried rose petals or buds
- Beautiful sunshine and some time!
Fill jar with cool filtered water, leaving 1 to 2 inches of room near the top
Add fruit, mint and rose
Lay tea bags on top of each other in order to gather and knot the strings together
Gently place tea bags in jar, pulling them in and out of the water until they are soaked through and no longer float on the surface
Place tea in the sunshine for 6-8 hours depending on strength preferences. You will know the tea is done when the color is your preferred shade indicating strength
Remove from sun and store in refrigerator
Note: Although generally made with black tea, you can try Sun Tea with any tea variety you like!
